Escaramuza 2024 Edition 1

I have been dreaming and envisioning this painting for a while. I came across a Vogue article years ago that documented Escaramuza Riders, and those powerful images have stayed with me since.
They are strong, vibrant, and powerfully confident women that have articulated their own cultural craft of “dancing with horses” for centuries. This one I represented here is more casual out for a stroll.
